Im not usually one to take the time to be negative online, but wow. The baristas are forced to stand outside in the cold and wind to take orders. I called and management just doesnt seem to care. Social distancing is important, but not at the cost of human suffering. Especially given there is plenty of room for people to order inside and then step out again 3 minutes (and the baristas are skilled, efficient and quick) until their order is ready. Maybe a rule of 3 customers inside at a time? Doesnt that make more sense? I cannot accept that this is for social distancing reasons because you are subjecting your employees to COVID by putting them on a street corner with pedestrian traffic. Have you been outside for a while in the cold with a mask? (It ended up full of snot didnt it?) Are you providing the masks at least? Providing opportunities to change them out? Are the people shoved out into the cold at least getting paid more? I cant imagine this is a job they volunteer for and I wonder if they even know theyre going to have to stand outside in the cold for hours before they get to work. If the pennies you pay them (since i now get the feeling you pay baristas tipped wages to avoid paying a livable wage) means they cannot afford a heavy coat, will one be provided? gloves? This is not what they signed up for. It is getting cold and fast and I called because I surely thought this was some oversight, some accident, but no, this is their whole plan. I asked what they will do now that its fall and they only said that they were working on it and that they were planning on having a meeting and discussing it or something. There should have been a plan for cold weather much earlier. Did you all just forget that it gets cold? You had all summer to think of a plan, why are you only staring now? Makes me wonder if they were all standing out in the heat sweating to death too. When it was below 45 degrees this morning, did no one say this is bad and dangerous? Hypothermia is possible at even 50 degrees and expedited by wind and rain. I think its ridiculous that this has to be talked about before it changes. Change it now and then change it again if you have to, but its inhumane, heartbreaking, and unreasonable. My friends and coworkers Ive shared with think so also. I will not spend another dollar here until they stop treating their employees this way. I cant believe no one is making a bigger deal out of this? I have completely lost faith in the company. You deserve to be judged by the way you treat others especially those beneath you and wow, is it clear you think they are. If today was any indication of how you treat them normally, then every employee should quit. Workers are human beings. Would you stand out on a corner in the wind with temperatures in the 40s for a whole shift? Hoping, praying someone tips you enough? If you, the owner, couldnt do it, then dont expect anyone else to, and especially not for so little pay

The tall, white male employee seemed like a nice guy, however his customer service skills seem subpar at best. He charged me for a large dirty chai, and handed me a 12 oz latte, which he made. When I asked if this is a large, he said all chais come in this size and quickly moved on to the next customer. Why cant you guys do large dirty chais? Its just adding more milk. Please train your employees to communicate that you cant pour a large drink if I order a large drink. This is an over priced latte that I didnt order. Thank you.

I ordered one drink, and when I went to pay, I realized I had been charged for two. I mentioned that I only ordered one, but there must have been some misunderstanding because I still paid for and got two coffees. I just gave one to my husband and called it even but it wasnt what I wanted. The mocha itself wasnt very satisfying for the price, either. It fell flat for me and there wasnt much richness to the drink.
